The War of Woe has left deep wounds in the world that still spew pain, horror, and devastation. The dreams and memories of a united world are faint and fleeting. The Severed Realms now haplessly stagger between continued ruin and uncertain rebirth, and it seems that the gods themselves have turned their backs on the mortals.Yet in the forest of Barksong, an ancient being stirs, watching curiously as the young Argothian girl Caria dares to venture deeper into the tree‑covered darkness.
